10000 Sails of Solidarity reactivates for a new solidarity project

A major demonstration to support and raise awareness of campaigns to combat violence against women.

The Project

The initiative has already stimulated great interest in the whole sailing community at national and international level

and it’s not meant to be an ”end in itself ”event but instead we are hoping for it to be a catalyst for other initiatives,

networks and organisations to represent a real ”course change” in the way that we, men and women alike,

deal with the huge issue of violence against women.

Who sails starts from a privileged position because, even if in the silence, there is no gender difference

since long time in sailing. On a sailing boat things like sex,age or social status don’t matter, only who you really are.

We believe for this reason that our initiative would cause a great interest in the whole. nation.

There will be no fundraising for this event. The event is also completely free of charge for all participants.

No one is authorised to request a financial contribution in any way related to the event.

The only ”expense” would be the time dedicated for planning and getting involved in the event. The whole organisation is entirely non-profit

Event logistics

The organizers and promoters of the event will do so in a format which will be easy repeatable in every venue

to make easier the diffusion of the project by all ways of promotion (social media, press, blogs, mailing list, paper adverts and so on)

in order to be able to reach as much as possible all different entities of the Italian sailing community:

sailing schools, yacth clubs, sailing associations, marinas, little harbours and historic sailing associations,

entities involved in the promotion of sailing and nautical activities etc.

The 10.000 sails association

The association get active only when we have a new project and we decide to put in place.

Only then will we design and activate dedicated website sections, mailing list, social media pages and other form of promotion of the project.
